Closed-Form Expressions for the Form Factor of a Polymer under Strong Confinement
In this paper the scattering from an ideal polymer chain in strong confinement (inline image) is calculated. It is possible to derive analytical closed-form expressions analogous to the Debye form factor. The results can be written in terms of one hypergeometric function 2F2 for all geometries (chan...

In this paper the scattering from an ideal polymer chain in strong confinement (inline image) is calculated. It is possible to derive analytical closed-form expressions analogous to the Debye form factor. The results can be written in terms of one hypergeometric function 2F2 for all geometries (channel, film, unconfined). It is shown that the result is consistent with a recent calculation of the form factor for a polymer chain in a radial harmonic potential. |
