Further investigations- on the kohlestei.n insulation have been carried out. The insulation consists of five rings. During the first experiments the gaps between the particular rings caused increased heat fluxes due to a by-passflow. Thus unsymmetrical temperature distributions along the wall have been measured. Therefore all the gaps have been sealed. Thus lower heat fluxes and more uniform temperature distributions have been achieved. It was the aim of this research to test the efficiency of the sealings subjected to high velocities or high axial pressure gradients. Furthermore it should be tested if the pressure gradients cause an additional heat transportthrough the pores of the material. [...] |
