The dblp computer science bibliography is an on-line reference for bibliographic information on major computer science publications. dblp currently indexes over 2.6 million publications, published by more than 1.4 million authors. To this end, dblp indexes about than 25 000 journal volumes, more than 24 000 conferences or workshops, and more than 17 000 monographs.

Subject portal for economics: literature search in important German and international databases in economics including the library holdings of the ZBW (Leibniz Information Center for Economics), access to free and licensed full texts on the Internet (e.g., open access documents provided by the ZBW), and a calendar of events in economics. The EconBiz is a joint project of the German National Library of Economics (ZBW) and the University and City Library of Cologne (USB Köln).

The social science research offering focuses on the digital, preferably free availability and reusability of publications (Open Access) and research data (Open Data) as well as related information. The offers on research data, survey instruments, publications, and other information can be searched across all GESIS databases via an integrated GESIS-wide search. Links between contents are also displayed so that, for example, matching publications to research data found can be seen directly.

LIVIVO, the interdisciplinary search engine for life sciences, is provided by ZB MED Leibniz Information Centre for Life Sciences. Scientifically relevant informations from the ZB MED subjects fields medicine, health, nutrition, environmental and agricultural sciences is bundled and provided on a standard interface for free research. MSI Eureka is a research & information platform that compiles and critically evaluates data on materials constitution, phase diagrams, etc. The database covers virtually all inorganic materials systems ever published, dates back to pre-1900 and is continuously updated. Nucleonica is a web portal developed for the worldwide nuclear science community. This resource replaces the traditional paper-based Karlsruhe Nuclide Chart. It offers online interactive nuclide charts, as well as reference data and searchable databases for internationally evaluated nuclear data. Nucleonica includes also application modules (decay, dosimetry and shielding, fission yields, range and stopping power, reactor irradiation, transport and packaging, etc.) with professional quality graphics. Reaxys is an online research solution designed to retrieve precise and accurate property, reaction and synthesis data from a collection of peer-reviewed literature, patents and substance databases. In addition, Reaxys can be used as a bibliographic research solution for chemistry and related sciences. SciFinder n produced by Chemical Abstracts Services is one of the largest scientific databases covering a broad field of literature and patents. In addition to the chemical literature it covers physics, material science, biochemistry and genetics, as far as the documents are related to substances. A separate compound file provides access to substances, their names, structures, and registry numbers.

The Arabidopsis Information Resource (TAIR) maintains a database of genetic and molecular biology data for the model higher plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Data available from TAIR includes the complete genome sequence along with gene structure, gene product information, gene expression, DNA and seed stocks, genome maps, genetic and physical markers, publications, and information about the Arabidopsis research community. Gene product function data is updated every week from the latest published research literature and community data submissions. TAIR also provides extensive linkouts from the data pages to other Arabidopsis resources.
