DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. develops norms and standards. DIN is recognized as a national standards organization in the European and international standards organizations. Standards are ordered at Forschungszentrum Jülich via the department Purchasing and Materials Management (M-KN).

The database lists information on over 2000 current and approx. 750 withdrawn VDI guidelines.
