Free database to search over 1 million PCT International Patent Applications, and PCT national phase entry information, starting 1978 depending on the class of information. The service also enables users to view the latest information and documents available to the International Bureau. The PCT (patent cooperation treaty) started in 1970 as part of the IP program of WIPO, that is a special agency of the United nations. Documents contain bibliographic data, description, claims, national phase and notices. All documents available through PATENTSCOPE Search Service are available as complete PDF and ZIP files.

DEPATISnet, the German Patent Information System on the Internet, is provided by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). It allows to perform online searches for the state of the art published in patent literature from all over the world, contained in the DEPATIS data archive.

Espacenet was developed by the European Patent Office (EPO). Espacenet offers free access to more than 90 million patent documents worldwide, containing information about inventions and technical developments from 1836 to today.
