BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) is one of the world's most voluminous search sengines especially for academic web resources, e.g. journal articles, preprints, digital collections, images / videos or research data. Other than search engines like Google or Bing BASE searches the deep web as well. The sources which are included are intellectually selected and reviewed. BASE is operated by Bielefeld University Library.

The dblp computer science bibliography is an on-line reference for bibliographic information on major computer science publications. dblp currently indexes over 2.6 million publications, published by more than 1.4 million authors. To this end, dblp indexes about than 25 000 journal volumes, more than 24 000 conferences or workshops, and more than 17 000 monographs.

The Digital Library of the GI collects the publications of the branches of the Gesellschaft für Informatik - i.e. the articles in journals published by the branches, the individual contributions of conferences, various newsletters and other gray literature - partly only in the form of metadata (i.e. information about the publications), partly as full texts. Anyone can research or simply browse through this information without logging in. For this purpose, the full text search (directly below the header), the hierarchical tree of publications (under areas), the faceted search in the right column or the short entries to current new entries can be used on the homepage. Some full texts are only accessible to members of the GI or only to members of special sections of the GI. To access them, you have to log in with your GI account. In some cases, these full texts are only accessible via the archives of publishers - in this case, we provide a single sign-in login to the publishers' off...

Scopus is an abstract and citation database for research literature published since 1996, with discovery and analytics tools. The multidisciplinary content covers the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering, Biomedical Research as well as Arts and Humanities and the Social Sciences. Scopus generates citation search results and automatically updated researcher and institution profiles. Thus, connections between people, published ideas, and organizations can be identified.

Web of Science is a curated collection of over 20,000 peer-reviewed, high-quality scholarly journals published worldwide (including Open Access journals) in over 250 science, social sciences, and humanities disciplines. Conference proceedings and book data are also available. Web of Science offers cited reference searching which means that you can search for records that cite a particular document.

The Zentralblatt MATH Database contains more than 3 million bibliographic entries with reviews or abstracts drawn from more than 3500 journals and 1100 serials and covers the period from 1826 - present by the integration of the Jahrbuch database (JFM). Zentralblatt MATH covers all areas of pure and applied mathematics and history of mathematics.
