Rising prices of energy consumption and decreasing bonus of Renewable Energy Act (EEG) nowadays make the direct use of photovoltaic electricity more attractive. Generation profiles of photovoltaic systems in most cases inadequately fit to load profiles of households. Therefore, battery storages can significantly increase use of decentralized photovoltaic electricity. Depending on technical data of the battery storage, criteria of optimization (maximize self-consumption, maximize battery life, economic efficiency) and course of electricity consumption/generation, the charge and discharge progress of the battery can be very different. This student research report focuses on the development of a simulation model to represent the whole system of photovoltaic generation, electricity consumption and battery storage. In this context, it discusses the effects of battery storages on self-consumption and independent power supply, considering criteria of optimization and economic efficiency. |
