The kinetics of the oxygen reduction on La.65Sr.30MnO3 cathodes were investigated with quasi-steady-state current/potential measurements and impedance spectroscopy as a function of electrode potential, temperature and oxygen partial pressure. The experimental results were fitted by algorithms based on three different reaction mechanisms. The Fit program evaluates the rate constants of the partial reaction steps and the coverages of the adsorbed species in dependence of the temperature, the oxygen partial pressure and the electrode potential. The best fit of the experimental data is obtained with a reaction mechanism, which proceeds by the following partial steps: 1. dissociative adsorption of oxygen, 2. reduction of Oad -> O-ad, 3. reduction of O-ad -> Oox. |
