Half-lives of the isomeric states 102m,gRh
Half-lives of the isomeric states 102m,gRh
The half-lives of the isomeric states Rh-102m,Rh-g were determined by measuring their gamma-ray spectra using a Ge(Li)-detector over about 5 years. Two radioactive sources were used for this aim. One of them was produced by the Ru-102(He-3,x)Rh-102m,Rh-g reaction induced by He-3 ions of 31 MeV bomba...

The half-lives of the isomeric states Rh-102m,Rh-g were determined by measuring their gamma-ray spectra using a Ge(Li)-detector over about 5 years. Two radioactive sources were used for this aim. One of them was produced by the Ru-102(He-3,x)Rh-102m,Rh-g reaction induced by He-3 ions of 31 MeV bombarding energy from the Julich cyclotron CV28. Another source was made by the photonuclear reaction Rh-103(gamma,n)Rh-102m,Rh-g using 22 MeV bremsstrahlung from the Kharkiv electron linear accelerator. The former reaction preferably populates the high-spin isomeric state and the latter the ground one. The half-lives were determined from the decay curves monitoring the intensities of the 475, (628 + 631), (692 + 695 + 697), 766, and 1046 keV gamma-transitions following the Rh-102m,Rh-g decay. Average weighted values of the half-lives amount to T-1/2 = (3.47 +/- 0.04) y and T-1/2 = (207.2 +/- 1.7) d for Rh-102m and Rh-102g, respectively. |
