High-purity InxCo4Sb12 (nominal composition x = 0.12, 0.15, 0.18, 0.20) was prepared by a two-step method separating the CoSb3 formation from the topotactic filler insertion. The high purity of the compounds allowed studying the transport properties without bias from side phases. In0.160(2)Co4Sb12 (nominally In0.18Co4Sb12) revealed a zT ≈ 1 at 420°C. The linear correlation between the true In occupancy and lattice parameter a indicates the true In filling and allows predicting the filler content of AxCo4Sb12. |
