Zur Adiabasie der Schallausbreitung in Kristallen
lt is shown that the propagation of sound is an adiabatic process, and that thesound velocities are determined by the adiabatic elastic data and the density in thefamiliar way. The proof is analogous to that in simple monoatomic gases andtakes anharmonic effects fully into account.
