For the characterization of nuclear carbons, the automatic quantitative image analysis is used in the IRW of the KFA as a modern supplementary means of ceramography. The test value processing is made by means of the stereology. This report gives a summary of the studies necessary for the definition of the measuring parameters and their material specific interpretation. Moreover, the calibrations are described necessary for the production of absolute data. Finally, the errors caused by this characterization procedure and by the analysed materials are discussed quantitatively. |
