The programme CARE($\underline{c}$alculation of the $\underline{a}$nnual $\underline{r}$adiation $\underline{e}$xposure) calculates the annual environmental exposure of complex nuclear installations. In the diffusion calculation of pollutants, the real weather conditions of the year concerned are taken into account on an hourly basis together with the accosiated release rates measured sor the variozs nuclides of individual emitters. According to their location in the plant, the contributions of the individual emitters are superimposed at predefinable receibing points in the vicinity or on the boundary of an installation (plant fencing).
