On TEXTOR three different diagnostics for the determination of the ion effective plasma charge (Z$_{eff}$) are installed. All of them measure the Bremsstrahlung in the visible continuum. Additionally on can derive Z$_{eff}$ from the plasma resistivity. The task of this investigation is to compare the different Z$_{eff}$ determinations in order to minimize sstematic errors. For this purpose different discharge conditions, ohmic heating, auxiliary heating, low- and high density and impurity seeding were inestigated. An error analysis of the specific diagnostic methods is included. |
