In this paper we study the properties of QCDat nonzero chiral density ρ5, which is introduced throughchiral chemical potential μ5. The study is performed withinlattice simulation of QCD with dynamical rooted staggeredfermions. We first check that ρ5 is generated at nonzero μ5and in the chiral limit observe ρ5 ∼ Λ2QCDμ5. We also testthe possible connection between confinement and topologicalfluctuations. To this end, we measured the topologicalsusceptibility χtop and string tension σ for various values ofμ5.We observed that string tension grows with μ5. It seemsthat topological susceptibility also rises with μ5, but to statethis more reliably the uncertainties should be reduced. Webelieve that our results indicate possible connection betweentopological fluctuations and the strength of confinement. |
